The call to action as published on Oct. 24
The size of the House is set by Congress, so the person who decides this for you is your own U.S. representative, who can cosponsor H.R. 2797 today and say which size they would vote for. The plain benefit is a representative who lives within a few miles of you, answers to 30,000 neighbors, can be reached without a donation and can be replaced by a neighbor with a clipboard, and a presidential vote that counts the same in Wyoming and California. Your representative’s office is listed on the House’s find your representative page. The message is one sentence, that they cosponsor H.R. 2797 and name the House size they support, followed by who you are, what you do and why you care. Your own words work better than anything copied from here, because a congressional office reads a hundred identical messages as one message and a letter that sounds like a constituent as a hundred. The number you ask for is yours to choose, and this article is free to forward to anyone who wants to know why mine is 11,000.
